Now it's MY TURN...
I heard "Last Night" and "Promises" on the radio, while visiting relatives in New Philadelphia, Ohio in the summer of 1979. Unfortunately, since I live in Virginia, I was only able to see MSB twice (in Radford, VA and at the Bayou in Washington C D.C.) Thanks to the internet, I have been able to go to the last two New Years Eve shows and the last two shows at Nautica Stage - can't wait for the show on June 13. The shows have been great - well worth the commute from Virginia.

Testing the new MICHAEL STANLEY "Your Turn" bulletin 'board'...
Michael (and Bob, and Tommy, and Jennifer, and Rodney, and everyone else!),
the new double-live CD, "Live in Tangiers: The Acoustic Shows", is wonderful!
...I think I've listened to the whole outfit, both CD's, both sides, 30 times just
this morning while building the new site...
...'nuff said. :-)
Looking forward to Nautica!

It's good to see the new web sight up and running. I am a regular customer here and would like to thank the author for her wonderful efforts!
I was introduced to MSB by my (at the time, 9) girlfriends in about 1987 or 88 when they (MSB) would play the Christmas / New Years shows at Music Hall in Cleveland, OH. Since that first time I have been hooked. In my eyes (okay...ears) his music is the type you can listen to over and over and never lose interest.
Thanks!
Mike

IT RAINED. AND IT RAINED & RAINED....
But the show at Nautica made it all worth it (the skies even cleared up for a little while--before the drizzle set in for nearly the length of the show, ending--
FINALLY!--during the last two numbers...)
It could've been worse, though, as anyone in the area knows (remember Friday night's freak storms?)
All in all--no one in the audience cared that they got a little wet, as the music kept us warm--and the rain, in fact, brought everyone MUCH closer together!
I wanted to give big THANK YOU's in this space to several people who were 'sun and warmth' to my son and I that evening:
Mike--whoever you are--and your ladyfriend (you sat directly in front of us): BLESS YOU BOTH for your kindness in sharing not only your umbrella, and a T-shirt to help keep my son warm, but for your friendliness and genuine human spirit...
Paul & Helen: THANK YOU for being there--I'm sure you sold LOTS of MS/MSB baseball caps, and, I have to tell you, we were certainly grateful for ours! It was wonderful meeting you in person, at last! Sidenote: Hey, Paul--how 'bout an MS/MSB rain SLICKER...:-)
The Simpletons: You positively SHONE in your opening slot--wonderful music!
And, of course:
Michael: THANK YOU. We would brave a thousand more rainy nights for you and THE MUSIC. (See above sidenote to Paul)
Bob: THANK YOU. Oh, and..."money?? who needs it"...just keep playing...:-)
To Whomever decided to CLOSE SeaWorld this past weekend of June 13-14: We forgive you--you must've reserved the weekend for Michael's Nautica show. We'll be back...
Still Rocking in the Heartland,

GREAT SHOW at Naughtyca!!!!!!!
The rain sucked but the show made up for it. Don't listen to Ms. Connotgetaclue from the PD. She's PMSing. Eroc's song might not fit into the mold of a normal MSB show but it's original and that's what it's all about, isn't it ?!
KEEP ON ROCKIN'.!!!!!!!!

Glad you have a site set up. I saw that you had a new album (reading the Scene website), went to Razor & Tie, and thought what the hell, maybe there's a michaelstanley.com site, and typed it in. Pretty cool! Anyway, I was back in Ohio when you did your Tangiers show(s), but nobody bothered to tell me until the night of the last show, and it was my parents anniversary party! (Some friends?!) Anyway, I'm
looking forward to hearing your new CD.
Keep Rockin!!

Moved to Florida from Cleve. 20 years ago. When I hear your music on the radio (which isn't often enough) I flashback to the good friends and good times of back then. By the way...give a hello to Dobeck....I've enjoyed your music thru the years, Michael and am looking forward to hearing the new release. Keep on rockin!...Diane from Sarasota, Florida

I WANTED TO TELL YOU THIS THE OTHER DAY WHEN I PICKED UP THE NEW LIVE IN TANGIERS ALBUM (OK CD).
IT GOES BACK TO STAGEPASS WHEN I PICKED IT UP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 76. I WAS READING THE CREDITS AND THERE WAS THIS NAME (STEVE POPOVICH). NOW I KNOW I HAD HEARD IT BEFORE, SO I ASKED MY MOTHER AND SHE SAID "YES HIS PARENTS HAD A STORE AND HE USED TO DELIVER GROCERIES TO YOUR GRANDFATHERS HOUSE WHEN HE WAS A YOUNG LAD."
SMALL WORLD EVEN BEFORE THE INTERNET.

Now it's MY TURN...
Long time MSB and Michael Stanley fan who saw close to 100 concerts from High School through college through the early post-college days. Lost track of
the magic somewhere along those growing up years and, though I bought all the CD's to bring my collection into the new age, never quite found the old magic (growing
up can suck). Just bought the live acoustic CD and, as they say about the Tribe at the Jake, the "Magic is Back". The first song, Midwest Midnight, gave me chills. I can't
wait to see a live show again!
Thanks Michael.

Nice to see a second site for Michael and Friends.....but when's he coming
to the Aloha State? Haven't seen the "Tangiers" release out here in the middle of nowhere yet, but anxiously awaiting this work. Been a fan since I saw MSB at a club called "Much More" in Richmond, Va. in 1980; the show was sponsored by Q-94 FM, and tickets were 94-cents each in a promotional offer. One of the best shows I've ever seen! Glad to see I'm able to pick up the catalogue on CD - my vinyls were getting just a bit worn!
Thank God for Razor & Tie (Thank God for the man who put the lines on the aluminum disc!)!

Louisville (OH) Class of '80 (in case a friend spots this).
I've been trying unsuccessfully for about two years now to get into the
guestbook(s). I've been in touch with Shea and Michael himself. Had a
bad bout with my heart three years ago and promised myself I'd see
Michael and company at least one more time. Something always comes
up...sort of like Harry Chapin's song "Cat's in the Cradle". Anyway,
bottom line is these guys are the greatest 'unknown' talents in the world.
Michael has the voice that most vocalists would sell their souls for.
Anyone ever actually listened to the music and thought about his lyrics
should consider themselves privileged. Stagepass is still my all-time
favorite.
"You gotta believe..." In my honest opinion, they just don't make
old-fashioned, feelgood, kickass rock-n-roll like this anymore !!!!!!
To Michael and friends--- Thanks for 25 years of warming hearts and
providing numerous occasions for people like me to thoroughly enjoy
music. As close to a religious experience as I've had in my life...
Still rockin' in Chesapeake country.....
