Another great sight for a rocker and song writer whether he thinks it or not is so underrated it makes me sick. But even though I live in Arizona, I love his music and MSB. I first saw them with open for Heart here in Tucson, back in the late seventies. First time I heard any song from Cabin Fever, I was hooked. Got lucky, got to see MSB again in a bar in Poughkeepsie, New York. Dragged two friends with me and drove for two hours in the pouring rain to see them in a bar. It was one I'll never forget. Just got the acoustic double album for fathers day C and have turned a bunch of people on to it already. My brother keeps saying find out when he's gonna play and will fly wherever and go see him. Well I hope that it happens someday. Just glad he is still making music.

I've been a Michael Stanley fan since I was 8 yrs. old. Now, I'm 26, and proud to say I've seen Michael in concert 15 times. Including 2 MSB Reunion shows, 3 Ghost Poet shows, and numerous solo pereformances. Hopefully Michael will keep rocking the North Coast for many years to come. I recently relocated to Louisville, KY for vocational reasons, but I still return to Cleveland every time Michael performs.

Keep Rockin in the Heartland,
Ronald Busser

I feel like the only New Yorker who is a big Michael Stanley Band fan. People think I must be from the midwest if they have even heard of MSB. I got to see the Michael Stanley Band perform only once in October 1983 at the Ritz in New York City. I was about one of 25 people in the "crowd". The band was amazing. I stood so close that Michael actually sweat on me -- considered not bathing for about a minute. I also stood a little too close to the sound equipment -- my (ears) rang for a day afterward. It was the BEST rock concert I have ever attended! I still love Michael. Thanks for the great music.

Nice format for Michael.
He is definitely one of the nicest people in the biz and one of the smartest lyricists around. I know most people go back to earlier works and say that is their favorite, but his writing just gets better and better the older he gets. You can't beat "Somewhere Over Paris" or "Sha-la-la-la."
I just hope Michael has a chance to kidnap Rod Stewart on his new tour and just have him listen to "Terms Of Surrender" and "We're Not Strangers Anymore" among a handful of other songs he has written. Rod could make millions off of them and Michael wouldn't do that bad either. I really think his work would be (re-) discovered for the incredibly lyrical talent he has.

Boy, it's great to turn on the 'puter and get a piece of my past if i want everyday!!!!! MSB brings back all kinds of memories for me growing up in the Sandusky area!!!! You guys were the 1st concert i ever went to with friends from High School--donnie iris opened!!!! So glad that i can update my collection of msb music online!!!! Thank you so much for hangin in there for the long haul. Your songs got me through a lot of stuff, growin up!!! I've sent the website to everyone i can... some old friends and some new that have never heard of you before. The new Browns song is terrific.
...Next year will be so exciting--many of my family all over the country now are aware of the count down and get the chills listening to this song!!!! The History of the Browns and MSB seem renewed and have the probability to be something really big, and i will be able to say i was there from the beginning!!!!

Now it's MY TURN...

Born and raised in Cleveland (Maple Hts.)and after many years in Cincinnati, headed out to Southern CA in '92. Met MS at the now-closed NE Appliance and Audio (I was a audio salesman) in Southgate back in '79. Loved (and still love ) the early solo stuff and early MSB albums. After Stagepass, I lost interest due to the music becoming more AOR (actually, it was probably due more to the realization that MSB was no longer Cleveland's own little secret), as well as having a rather tough time getting used to a band that didn't include Jonah Koslen and Daniel Pecchio. But, as they say, times change....
While working in Greeley, CO, I had the chance to visit that wonderful old train station that was used as the cover of the first MS album. It was a small station, and the lady at the ticket counter thought it was odd that I wanted to take a picture of the waiting area. What I thought odd was that there was no one else around...
I will always be a "folkie" at heart, and consider MS up there with early Fogelberg, Lightfoot, and Neil Young 2C to name a few. I'm glad to hear MS is still making music, and look forward to the day when I can see him play as he did in the early '70s -- just him and his guitar.
Here's to Cleveland, MS, and all of you out there in cyberspace...
and to the memories!
Happy Trails...

Any info on videos? Even old ones? And can I get Michael to autograph my original Heartland album? I think as I get older, the songs just get better, and the meanings become more to me. It would mean a lot.

Greetings from the south shore of the Kenai River, Alaska. I am a 'trial attorney/ singer-songwriter-musician' and professional salmon fly-fishing guide that moved to Alaska in 1984 from 1st and Broadway, Cleveland, OH.
I would like to stay informed to what Michael and 'friends' are doing musically... So many wonderful memories at the Agora from 1974 to 1977...just Michael, Tommy. Danny and Jonah and a few hundred close friends. Oh to live for the simpler days.
Good luck Michael! I'm listening...
Peace, Joe Ray Skrha

Nice to know things are going well with Michael. Miss the good old days at the Old Cleveland Agora. MSB "Stagepass" CD gets a run at least twice a week in my car. I was there (In Body) for the recording all three nights.
... ahhhhh The good old daze.

Now it's MY TURN...
I first heard of MSB from my first love, when we were in college. She was 'That Moment Of Mine'. My heart has 'Never Felt Quite So True' since then. Many of your songs/poems have become audiographs, if you will, of defining moments in my life. Some great, some not so great, but you know what they say, "All You Get To Keep Are The Memories, You Got To Make The Good Ones Last". I re-discovered you when I stumbled across the 'Coming Up for Air' CD. The songs on this CD, I feel, exhibit a level of maturity that I have noticed in my own life since those college days, but that's 'Just Between Friends'. Please keep the poetry flowing.
P.S. GO STEELERS!

My introduction to MS-MSB/Comments:
Saw them twice at Blossom once at the Colesium..then I moved to Pensacola Fla and 3 years later the greatest band of our time showed up at a club that held maybe 100 people, called Francos...listening to those songs while standing only 5 ft away was awesome

Now it's MY TURN...
first I want to say that I grew up in Euclid, Ohio and lived on MSB music! all my friends knew that if they didn't want to listen to MSB not to come to my house cuz it would always be on...
I was at many concerts and take pride in knowing that I was at the aug.live recording at blossom music center and that one of those voices on lover could be mine... I moved to Miami, FL three years ago and to my surprise my sister in law down here is a huge fan also... we were never so happy or surprised to find that that Best Buy here in Miami carried most of the MSB stuff on cd... it was so cool to now be able to have it on cd and listen to it all the time... now her and I get together all the time and have a few drinks and relive old times and feel young again...for at least a little while... thanks for everything and keep them coming. we just got the new live one and it is great. michael sounds better than ever...
I do have one question if anyone can answer it to my e-mail I'd love it....
In the new browns video who is the guy toward the end of the video standing on the stairs singing ....
thanks to anyone that can help us out with that.

NOTE TO JACCI (and others who may want to know the answer to her question!):

The man you are referring to is Benjamin Orr, of The Cars.
Hope this helped, although it arrives a few months late...;-)

Great Job on the web site! I was in radio in the late 70's to early 80's and was lucky enough to see MSB live in New York a few times.
Those were rock and roll shows! We even drove out to Ohio to see the band play at the Agora! Timeless music that gets better with each passing year! Can't wait to hear the new stuff. Keep up the great work.

Dear Michael, On Oct. 26th of this year I lost my job after 15 years. Just wanted you to know that your song "Rosewood Bitters" helped me through. You know, "I'm crying in my beer" -- I WAS!!!
But now I'm happier than I've been in 15 years.
Thanks!!!
