From the mid-70's to the mid-80's, The Michael Stanley Band rocked arenas all over the midwest, setting still-unmatched concert attendance records at northeastern Ohio's Blossom Music Center and The Coliseum in Cleveland.With album sales reaching the hundreds of thousands, the band enjoyed a strong and undeniably loyal following in other areas of the country as well, and toured with some greats, including Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Foreigner and The Doobie Brothers... The Michael Stanley Band saw several Top-20 and Top-30 hits, among them "He Can't Love You" in 1980 and "My Town" in 1983.... Though the 'one great hit' never came, they remained a constant presence in concert halls and arenas throughout the country for over ten years, producing over a dozen stellar albums of their brand of 'Heartland' rock and roll... From the early strains of Michael Stanley's "Rosewood Bitters" of 1973, to MSB's crowd-rousing "Midwest Midnight" of 1977--the charged energy of 1983's popular "My Town" and--fast forward to the present!--Michael Stanley's 1996 solo CD, "Coming Up For Air", or his newest1998 release, the double-live CD "Live In Tangiers: The Acoustic Shows", the Michael Stanley Band--and the man who started it all--continue to be the 'Northcoast's Finest' in Rock and Roll... ...Keep Rocking In The Heartland!
